The former Harbour-front Enhancement Committee and its successor, the Harbourfront Commission, established in 2004 and 2010, respectively, have made efforts over the past two decades on planning, promoting, and monitoring harbourfront projects with the aim of transforming the Victoria harbourfront into a vibrant and shared space for public enjoyment. The harbourfront has grown up with the people of Hong Kong and has undoubtedly become a much sought-after leisure destination for the local youth.

It is imperative we preserve its essential character for future generations. The Harbourfront Commission is the custodian of Victoria Harbour and I'm proud to be a member.
